FH.UNNES.AC.ID – Semarang, Menyambut tahun Internasionalisasi, pada hari Jumat tanggal 9 Maret 2018, diruang Teleconference Fakultas Hukum Unnes telah hadir Ambassador of India Mission to ASEAN, H.E. Suresh K. Reddy. Mr. Reddy beliau disapa, datang mengunjungi Fakultas Hukum karena posisi ASEAN di kawasan regional mempunyai peran yang sangat strategis, termasuk diantaranya Indonesia sebagai leader dan founding ASEAN, selain itu Mr. Reddy sangat tertarik mendengar sepak terjang Pusat Studi Asean (PSA) FH Unnes, terutama keunikanannya karena menjadikan Hukum sebagai isu utama pada arah studi dan kajiannya.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut hadir Dekan Fakultas Hukum Unnes menyambut kehadiran Mr. Reddy. Kegiatan yang dikemas dengan diskusi sederhana tersebut begitu hangat, pada akhirnya kesempatan tersebut digunakan untuk membangun kerjasama antara Fakultas Hukum dengan Pemerintah India terkait Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Terutama untuk menjawab besarnya tuntutan di tahun internasionalisasi Unnes ini. Beberapa Target program seperti kelas internasional, collaboration research, dan visiting lecture menjadi pokok pembahasan.

Mr. Reddy sendiri dalam hal ini merespon dengan sangat positif, seolah gayung bersambut menyebutkan bahwa disisi yang lain India juga sedang fokus dalam pengembangan dunia akademik di Negaranya. “Kami membagikan ribuan beasiswa kepada calon-calon ilmuwan diseluruh dunia untuk belajar dan berbagi ilmu di negara kami” ucapnya mantap.

Bagi Rodiyah selaku Dekan Fakultas Hukum Unnes menyatakan, “kunjungan ini sebuah keuntungan besar bagi Fakultas Hukum, karena membuka peluang bekerja sama dengan India”. Peluang bekerjasama dengan India sebenarnya bukan yang pertama, FH Unnes pernah merintis sebelumnya bersama dengan Jendall University India, namun kehadiran Mr. Reddy menjadikan momentum ini memasuki progres tahapan yang lebih serius. Kunjungan tersebut pada akhirnya ditutup dengan penandatanganan MoM dan Letter of Intent oleh kedua belah pihak.
