FH.UNNES.AC.ID – Semarang, Bukan hal yang tidak mungkin bahwa jurnal mahasiswa bisa terakreditasi secara nasional. Hal ini diungkapkan Waspiah SH MH, Dosen Pendamping BSO Lex Scientia Fakultas Hukum Universitas Negeri Semarang saat membuka Workshop Pengelolaan Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa Berstandar Internasional, Sabtu (15/8) lalu secara daring. Waspiah bahkan mengungkapkan bahwa Jurnal Lex Scientia Law Review yang dikelola secara langsung oleh mahasiswa mampu menjadi bukti bahwa mahasiswa bisa mengelola jurnal berstandar nasional dan internasional.

Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Lex Scientia Law Review tersebut memberikan informasi jelas mengenai tata kelola jurnal hukum berstandar internasional. Ridwan Arifin SH LLM, salah satu pembicara pada kegiatan tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa dalam pengelolaan jurnal, ada beberapa aspek yang harus diperhatikan selain kualitas tulisan. “Banyak sekali hal yang perlu kita perhatikan, mulai dari pilihan tema edisi, persebaran penulis, tahap review, hingga promosi jurnal”, ujar Ridwan. Lebih lanjut menurutnya, ada tantangan tersendiri bagi mahasiswa dalam mengelola jurnal. “Mengelola jurnal bagi mahasiswa, apalagi yang terakreditasi nasional, bukanlah hal wajar, ini sangat langka, kalau menulis barangkali banyak, tapi yang mengelola dengan serius nampaknya baru Unnes”, ungkapnya.

Selain Ridwan, Ita Dwiyanti dan Septhian Eka Adiyatma, dua pemateri dari mahasiswa yang juga merupakan Aktivis Jurnal Mahasiswa Lex Scientia Law Review berbagi kisahnya dalam proses pengelolaan jurnal hingga bisa terakreditasi nasional. Ada hal menarik yang diungkapkan oleh Ita Dwiyanti, bahwa dirinya pernah minder karena mengikuti pelatihan pengelolaan jurnal dimana semua peserta merupakan dosen, sementara hanya dirinya yang masih mahasiswa. “Seru dan unik, sempat banyak yang gak percaya, apa ada jurnal yang dikelola mahasiswa, dan kita bisa membuktikannya”, ujar Ita.

Jalan Panjang Akreditasi Jurnal Mahasiswa Hukum

Lex Scientia Law Review menjadi satu-satu jurnal mahasiswa di Fakultas Hukum UNNES yang terbit sejak November 2017, bertepatan dengan peringatan Dies Natalis Fakultas Hukum UNNES ke-10. Pembentukan jurnal ini diawali dari diskusi singkat antara Ridwan Arifin SH LLM, Waspiah SH MH dan Aktivis Mahasiswa BSO Lex Scientia. Semangat pembentukan jurnal ini selain sebagai wadah publikasi pemikiran mahasiswa, juga untuk memberikan dorongan bagi mahasiswa agar memiliki karya yang berkelanjutan. Terbukti, jurnal Lex Scientia Law Review mampu terbit dan terus berkembang hingga saat ini.

Secara berturut-turut Editor in Chief pada Jurnal Lex Scientia Law Review yakni Khoiril Huda, Dhita Fitria Maharani, dan Raden Muhammad Arvy Ilyasa. Jurnal yang pada tahun 2019 berhasil terakreditasi nasional peringkat 4 (Sinta 4) tersebut hanya memuat tulisan-tulisan yang berasal dari mahasiswa program sarjana. Pada tahun 2020 ini, jurnal Lex Scientia Law Review bersiap-siap untuk mengajukan re-akreditasi jurnal dan berharap bisa naik peringkat.

    Luar biasa, sebetulnya memang perlu ada dukungan besar teehadap mahasiswa sehingga mereka bisa menulis dan mempublikasikannya. Ada mahasiswa yang berniat namun bingung cara memulai menulis atau malu. Maka, dengan adanya hal ini akan penting untuk mendukung siapapun yang memulai dan meningkatkan kualitas kepenulisan untuk kontribusi pendidikan.
