Fakultas Hukum (FH) Universitas Negeri Semarang menyelenggarakan Konferensi Internasional the Fourth International Conference of Indonesian Legal Studies (ICILS) 2021 secara Daring Selasa, (8/6).

Konferensi ini mengangkat tema “The re-establishment of law, economics, and health systems after covid-19 pandemic”.

Dalam sambutannya, Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan apresiasi kepada Fakultas Hukum UNNES yang memiliki inisiatif untuk menyelenggarakan konferensi yang relevan dengan situasi global saat ini pandemic Covid-19.

Prof Fathur menambahkan, di situasi pandemi dituntut untuk bisa mengembangkan produktivitas terutama pengembangan keilmuan.

“Bidang hukum adalah bidang yang menarik untuk terus dikaji di dalam berbagai pengembangan keilmuan dalam situasi apapun, termasuk di dalam situasi pandemic,” tutur Prof Fathur.

Prof Fathur menyebutkan tema yang diusung sangat relevan dengan visi UNNES menjadi Universitas Berwawasan Konservasi dan Bereputasi Internasional.

“UNNES memiliki 3 pilar konservasi, yaitu konservasi sumber daya alam, nilai dan karakter, dan seni dan budaya. UNNES tidak hanya fokus pada konservasi sumber daya alam tetapi juga pada konservasi nilai dan karakter yang didalamanyya ada nilai keadilan,” ucap Guru Besar Sosiolinguistik tersebut.

Selain itu, Prof Fathur menyampaikan pengembangan hukum di situasi pandemic untuk menjamin keadilan bagi seluruh masyarakat di Indonesia maupun dunia.

“Hukum bermuara pada keadilan. Untuk itu mudah-mudahan kegiatan ini memberikan peran di dalam pengembangan kapasitas keilmuan di UNNES dan memberikan sumbangsih Indonesia kepada dunia dalam pengembangan hukum yang menjadi bagian dalam kolaborasi keilmuan masyarakat dunia,” jelas Rektor UNNES.

Sementara itu, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum, dan Keamanan (Menkopolhukam) Republik Indonesia Prof Dr Mohammad Mahfud MD SH SU MIP berharap konferensi ini dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi lahirnya ide-ide pembaharuan Hukum di berbagai Negara khususnya Indonesia.

Dekan Fakultas Hukum UNNES Dr Rodiyah SPd SH MSi menuturkan sejak tahun 2017 sampai sekarang Fakultas Hukum UNNES konsisten menyelenggarakan Konferensi Internasional setiap tahunnya.

“Tahun ini adalah gelaran keempat dari Konferensi Internasional the Fourth International Conference of Indonesian Legal Studies (ICILS) yang diselenggarakan FH UNNES”, jelas Dr Rodiyah.

Selain itu, Dr Rodiyah menyebutkan The 4th ICILS diawali dengan Seminar Internasional menghadirkan 5 Pembicara dari 3 benua.

Pembicara Seminar Internasional ini meliputi Prof Timéa Drinoczi dari University of Pécs, Hungary, Prof Maree Sainsbury dari University of Canberra, Australia, Prof Jaco Barkhuizen dari University of Limpopo, South Africa, dan Prof Martitah Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia, Dr Siti Hafsyah Idris dari Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, pungkasnya.
